The Sensei and the Bullet Journal

Hi, my name is Juliane. I’m a full-time high school teacher, part-time bullet journaling (and lettering) enthusiast living in Sydney, Australia. After much encouragement from friends, family and the Instagram Community, I decided to start my very own bullet journaling blog.

One day during the school holidays (July, 2017), I was on my phone aimlessly scrolling away on Pinterest when I came across lettering. It piqued my curiosity as I’ve always loved writing, notebooks and all things pretty. I wanted to learn how to write like what I saw online – from faux calligraphy to brush lettering, I couldn’t get enough! And so, I practised. Along the way, this thing called the Bullet Journal kept popping up across my social media feeds. When I looked into it a little deeper, I got hooked! I found a whole community of stationery obsessed, like-minded people. The bullet journal was perfect – It was a tool for me to use in my daily life while being able to to add in my own creative sensibilities. These days, you’ll never find me without my notebook and a few handy pens. It’s become such an important aspect of my every day life.

Aside from all things stationery, I also enjoy wining and dining with my husband (mrandmrschopsticks) and friends, I’m a huge anime and K-Drama fan (sorry, not sorry) and I am a happy friend of three plants – Lily, Happy and Spike.

Through this platform, I hope to share what I’ve learned, what I create and what I journal. After that? We’ll just have to find out along the way.
